Disneyland!!

Fall Break was a blast! We had 4 days off of school so naturally Travis, Vanessa & I ran right home to sunny California and spent a day at Disneyland. I mean who doesn't love Disneyland? It is literally the Happiest Place on Earth!
Not only were we at Disneyland, but it was all decorated for Halloween which is the second best time to be at Disneyland...First is obviously when it is all decorated for Christmas!

Being home is the very best, I hadn't been back since I moved up to Utah & that was the longest I have ever gone without visiting home...the longest two months of my life! {haha} Sadly my mama was in Paris visiting my sister Steph with my other sister Alex and her family. So Nessa & I got to spend some time with our daddy! Another sadly dear dad hates disneyland. I KNOW! He will go for us sometimes {usually when the only granddaughter bats her little lashes & asks nicely} but he is not a fan of crowds or lines, so Disneyland isn't his favorite. So while he worked Friday, the Three Musketeers took on the crowds. It was a cloudy day which inly added to the spooky feeling of Halloween.
I love Halloween & Fall & all the fun that comes with it. So when you combine all of that & Disneyland I am the Happiest Girl on the Earth.
The cutest decorations hung on every light post & The Haunted Mansion was transformed to the Nightmare Before Christmas & at the very end of Main St. a Giant Mickey Mouse Jack-O-Lantern smiling at you!

Since we weren't the smartest about timing our trip & followed everyone from Utah to Disneyland, we spent our time dodging the crowds & lines & riding our most favorite rides & sniffing out our favorite foods. My family has a tradition of showing up to Disneyland at lunchtime every time & immediately scarfing down our favorite chili bread bowls at Main St. Cafe. Vanessa & I will never not go to Disneyland & not have a delicious bowl & a side of nacho cheese. Don't knock it until you try it. Its the best to dip the bowl in after all the chili is gone! YUM!!
Travis waited in the always long line for the best & famous Disneyland Corn Dog Cart. They are SO good. We stuffed our faces than decided to go fight some crowds!

I could sit under those bright yellow umbrellas ALL day! Just keep bringing me food, because that is the best spot for people watching!

With a full stomach we thought the best ride to ride first was obviously The Tea Cups! Smart huh?
Luckily non of us got sick but we all laughed & spun around like little kids again. I think it is Travis's favorite ride for sure! It's always fun to go with him he's strong enough to make us spin so fast. I feel like a little kid again.

Now that we woke up the little kid's within us, we headed over to The Haunted Mansion.  I remember when I was a little kid I was SO scared of this ride. Now it is my favorite especially with the elaborate makeover that happens at Halloween. Travis had never seen this Haunted Makeover so we HAD to wait in the hour long line! But not with out the best treat at Disneyland!
CHURROS!

If you thought we were done eating...you were wrong! With all diets put on hold we let loose & indulged in our favorite treats! If you haven't wondered into Pooh's Corner, back behind Splash Mountain, next time you are there GO!
They have the yummiest & prettiest treats in the park. Vanessa got her favorite the Rice Crispy Treat covered in White Chocolate, Travis devoured a Carmel & Chocolate dipped marshmallow & I opted for a chocolate chip cookie. Sadly my favorite chocolate dipped s'mores bar wasn't there.
All was delicious!

After we were full & ready to burst we headed back to Main St. to see all the best decoration, take on a new look at the sky got darker & the lights got brighter.

It was a wonderful weekend filled with childish giggles, yummy treats & family!
The next two days were spent eating more...but this time it was Sharky's our favorite place at home! Dad was able to spend those days with us and some quality daddy-daughter time took place. We loved spending the weekend home & I wish I was back home right now too!

a few of my favorite things

I love fashion, always have. When I was little I would get dressed up in about 10 different outfits... I still do this today. There is something so fun & freeing about fashion. It's a subtle way to show a little bit about yourself without say anything.

I do love shopping for each new season & surfing the online stores to fill up my wish lists, but finding the perfect accessories is my favorite part. They always add that final touch, bring the whole outfit together, perfectly dress up a more causal outfit or change an outfit from day to night.

I am a creature of habit as well, so I take my time finding the most perfect accessories, because I usually wear them every single day until their time is up & I find a replacement. So if you need help with your accessories here are a few of my favorite tips to find the perfect ones.

Madeline's Guidelines to your perfect accessories!
  1. Make your accessories compliment your style. I typically like a simplistic, classic, clean style. My accessories are usually simple & something gold. You can never go wrong with gold.
  2. Get at least one staple accessory that you can wear everyday. Mine is my gold CTR ring found here. OR a  cute neutral purse.
  3. Watches are always an good idea & no you can never have too many, just do not wear at the same time (;
  4. Rings are a must, just make sure they compliment your look & not too many, I never have more than three on at all times. A favorite ring for me other than gold is anything turquoise, it can be subtle, but also add some color & flare.
  5. Sunglasses may not seem like an accessory that you may think of when getting ready, but they can make or break an outfit. They do not have to be designer or expensive, but make an effort to have a wide range of glasses. I love to pick up a new sunglass from Aldo or Target every so often.
  6. Sometimes you want to have a bold accessory to add some pop for a special occasion or if you're just feeling spunky. I love a fun reflective sunglass or a lot of gold bracelets on a wrist. Be as bold as you'd like. {Im kind of boring lol }
  7. I always have two shoes to one outfit, one shoe that is a neutral and compliments my look & another that attracts the most attention for that extra POP!
  8. My favorite thing to do with my accessories is too make them personal. It helps me especially because then I know I am not spending money on something I'll never wear. It kind of helps the process of eliminating that junk jewelry look.
  9. Make all the accessories coordinate, it's fun to have a lot of different stuff for all the outfits you could create, but I like to have a certain theme throughout my accessories, so that I know that no matter the outfit all my little accents will work together.
  10. Lipstick should be your sidekick. I have colors ranging from deep purple, bright red & pinky nude. Pick your favorite & always have it with you!
Now if you hate all these tips, like some, or all, that is fine. This is just some guidelines I like to remind myself of when shopping for my next accessory. Mine are always very personal to share a little bit of me without saying much. Its a fun way to spice up or tone down an outfit, but always bring the outfit together. The beauty in accessories is they don't have to be expensive either, you can find anything anywhere if you know your style.

Beach Blading

Welcome to Madddsss World, or my World...I'm Mads. I have a love for traveling, adventuring and capturing it all and creating photos and videos for all my friends, family and I to cherish. I love to capture the moment and loving finding new adventures and moments to capture.

It's summer in LA and that is the perfect time for fun activities and creative fun. My best friend and I ventured down to Manhattan Beach this week. We timed it perfectly and hit sunset. We tied up our skates and made a break for a sunset skate along the shore. It was full of fun, falls and laughter. We always have so much fun together and she is a great friend to put up with all my videoing! Here are some fun pictures from that night and a small clip of our fun.
I am a huge admirer of sunsets, they are my favorite. I happen to photograph sunsets all the time but this one was on of the prettiest.
My homegirl Al aka Dola! She is a total babe and my bestie. Her cute curls and funky style always make for a fun and fashionable time! (shades- Urban Outfitters// Shirt- Marshalls//Skirt- forever 21// Roller Skates- Moxi Rollerskates )

Who doesn't love Palm Trees? C'mon when you're in Southern California at the beach at sunset...Can you really not snap a few pics of those tall skinny beauties?
