Attitude of Gratitude

Yesterday was Thanksgiving and a happy one it was. I was able to spend it with a few of those I am most thankful for. I was in Minnesota with my oldest sister Alex & her hubby & two beautiful kiddos. As well as my parents! It was such a fun time & is always a day that reminds you how blessed you really are. I like to remember how thankful I am for my life & the blessings that fill it everyday but today is a day we can make sure we remember. Apart from being most thankful for my family, friends & my Father in Heaven & Jesus Christ, I am thankful for clothes. I love them & fashion has always been a part of me. So I have here a few photos of my Happy Turkey Day & my thanksgiving look.

My sister Alex is the next Martha Stewart & has created the cutest Thankful Tree to help her little ones remember what they are thankful for. We all got to fill out a few leaves & share what we are thankful for. I am thankful for these beautiful people & my other two sisters & bro-in-law we are missing.

An attitude of gratitude is something we must have all year round. The holidays though bring out our love & gratitude for family, friends, and all other blessings. I love the holidays the most & I am very thankful for the extra love in the air & the extra time spent with my family.

I am also thankful for the change in weather & the fun fall/winter fashions that come with the season.
This Thanksgiving I  had a little bit of a different look, I am queen dress-up, any chance to get all dressed up for a fun fancy day I love. This year I changed it up with a little more of a fall casual look. My new Madewell black turtleneck was a must for turkey day & was purchased with this holiday in mind. Next I had just bought these target boots a day before thanksgiving & I have been living in them ever since. With a little touch of my favorite trend crazy socks, the new lumberjack flannel is one of my favorites, adding that crisp fall look. My watch is from the dapper DanielWellington & was a subtle classic touch. A comfy casual look is something I would recommend when your night is spent stuffing your face!
I am thankful for a family who accepts that I am a little goofy!

I really love thanksgiving & the fun family, fashion it adds to a Thursday!
Happy Thanksgiving, but now  let's get ready for Christmas!

Pumpkin Patchin'

Fall is the best time of year. The air gets crisp, the leaves turn colors & Hocus Pocus is on Tv 3 nights a week, or every night in my house!
Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas are all in a row. Kicking off the season, with Pumpkin Spice everything & Jack-O-Latnerns. So for a fun evening activity Vanessa, Travis, Ciara {my roomie} & I all headed out to the pumpkin patch for a little fall fun!
I brought my camera along & we had a pumpkin patch photo shoot!

A picturesque pumpkin patch!

Disneyland!!

Fall Break was a blast! We had 4 days off of school so naturally Travis, Vanessa & I ran right home to sunny California and spent a day at Disneyland. I mean who doesn't love Disneyland? It is literally the Happiest Place on Earth!
Not only were we at Disneyland, but it was all decorated for Halloween which is the second best time to be at Disneyland...First is obviously when it is all decorated for Christmas!

Being home is the very best, I hadn't been back since I moved up to Utah & that was the longest I have ever gone without visiting home...the longest two months of my life! {haha} Sadly my mama was in Paris visiting my sister Steph with my other sister Alex and her family. So Nessa & I got to spend some time with our daddy! Another sadly dear dad hates disneyland. I KNOW! He will go for us sometimes {usually when the only granddaughter bats her little lashes & asks nicely} but he is not a fan of crowds or lines, so Disneyland isn't his favorite. So while he worked Friday, the Three Musketeers took on the crowds. It was a cloudy day which inly added to the spooky feeling of Halloween.
I love Halloween & Fall & all the fun that comes with it. So when you combine all of that & Disneyland I am the Happiest Girl on the Earth.
The cutest decorations hung on every light post & The Haunted Mansion was transformed to the Nightmare Before Christmas & at the very end of Main St. a Giant Mickey Mouse Jack-O-Lantern smiling at you!

Since we weren't the smartest about timing our trip & followed everyone from Utah to Disneyland, we spent our time dodging the crowds & lines & riding our most favorite rides & sniffing out our favorite foods. My family has a tradition of showing up to Disneyland at lunchtime every time & immediately scarfing down our favorite chili bread bowls at Main St. Cafe. Vanessa & I will never not go to Disneyland & not have a delicious bowl & a side of nacho cheese. Don't knock it until you try it. Its the best to dip the bowl in after all the chili is gone! YUM!!
Travis waited in the always long line for the best & famous Disneyland Corn Dog Cart. They are SO good. We stuffed our faces than decided to go fight some crowds!

I could sit under those bright yellow umbrellas ALL day! Just keep bringing me food, because that is the best spot for people watching!

With a full stomach we thought the best ride to ride first was obviously The Tea Cups! Smart huh?
Luckily non of us got sick but we all laughed & spun around like little kids again. I think it is Travis's favorite ride for sure! It's always fun to go with him he's strong enough to make us spin so fast. I feel like a little kid again.

Now that we woke up the little kid's within us, we headed over to The Haunted Mansion.  I remember when I was a little kid I was SO scared of this ride. Now it is my favorite especially with the elaborate makeover that happens at Halloween. Travis had never seen this Haunted Makeover so we HAD to wait in the hour long line! But not with out the best treat at Disneyland!
CHURROS!

If you thought we were done eating...you were wrong! With all diets put on hold we let loose & indulged in our favorite treats! If you haven't wondered into Pooh's Corner, back behind Splash Mountain, next time you are there GO!
They have the yummiest & prettiest treats in the park. Vanessa got her favorite the Rice Crispy Treat covered in White Chocolate, Travis devoured a Carmel & Chocolate dipped marshmallow & I opted for a chocolate chip cookie. Sadly my favorite chocolate dipped s'mores bar wasn't there.
All was delicious!

After we were full & ready to burst we headed back to Main St. to see all the best decoration, take on a new look at the sky got darker & the lights got brighter.

It was a wonderful weekend filled with childish giggles, yummy treats & family!
The next two days were spent eating more...but this time it was Sharky's our favorite place at home! Dad was able to spend those days with us and some quality daddy-daughter time took place. We loved spending the weekend home & I wish I was back home right now too!

F A L L F U N

Phone-case: J. Crew

Fall is in the air & so is the sound of laughter when the Three Musketeers are together! My sister Vanessa, her hubby Travis & I all went out into the Canyon today to see some fall foliage. Sadly a lot of it was already dead, but we grabbed our camera & had some fun. They are great sports, they let me stop & take a picture every 10 ft, model for me regularly & Travis stepped up to be the best photographer, helping me with some of my outfit shots. He is a professional in the making.

Today's outfit was a super casual throw-together. Being cute & comfy is always a must. Don't think by being casual you can't still be cute too!

Starting on top we have a black & white crop top from Forever 21. I am not the biggest fan of a crop so I took a simple white tank top to layer it. It makes me feel more comfortable but allows the cute crop top look still.

My jeans like last post & many to come are my skinny fit, Madewell babes. They are my favorite & most comfortable. If you are looking for a comfy pair of jeans you should check them out.
Adding a double cuff to the bottom of your jeans can give you two looks with one pair of pants & is one of my favorite looks.

JUST DO IT. Nike Roshe is probably one of my favorite Nikes & are perfect for hiking back into the canyon for a photo shoot, jumping around in leaves & climbing a giant log. They also add a cute casual look to any outfit, the sneaker look is super in right now & I love it. It's a cute way to dress down a fancier outfit & a cute addition to an already casual friday look. My light grey & white  roshes go with just about anything & are super easy to clean!

So now to the accessories, 1st the pop color. RED. I love red. I especially love Red Lipstick. Today's color is Tempt Seduction {oo lala }  from Covergirl. Red nails are always a fun one to have because when they get caught in a photo they will always pop!
I always seem to wear neutrals, so I really like to add a pop of color in the most subtle ways. Lipstick & Nails are two of my favorite ways!
PS if you are a girl who thinks they look "stupid" in lipstick or you're just "Not that kind of girl"... STOP. All girls should wear lipstick & all girls look great, so stop thinking and grab that lipstick & put it on!

The infamous half bun or what I like to call my own personal Man-Bun. I always say "If I can't have a hottie with a man-bun in my life, I'll be my own hottie with a man-bun" LOL. {i am  a loser, I know} It is such a cute & casual hairdo. For someone like me who 100% has their hair just down & not styled, this is a fun one. It's only halfway styling your hair. Take half, throw it in a top knot & call it a day!

ARVO! My watch peeps, they are the best. All black is the way to go & is a favorite. It goes so well with the black & white stripes & gives a little bit of an edge to the whole look.

Now today's outfit wasn't anything super special, but we had some fun in the canyon so I had to post some pics! Here are some more from today. I love photography & is one of my passions, that I would like to pursue full-time. Travis & Vanessa are the best for being my models, letting me practice my photography & helping take all of my pictures today.

I was around A LOT when Vanessa & Travis first met & started dating. I got to spend a lot of time with them & we all became super close. We have become the Three Musketeers or better the Three Stooges. We all get super silly & dumb together, but it always turns out to be fun. They are so in love & the best examples to me. I am so lucky to live by them.

This is my gorgeous sister Vanessa & my best friend. This year I get to work along side her in her Life Skills Elementary Class. She is such a loving, kind, patient teacher & human. She loves those kids & works her best & hardest to help them. They love her & it has been so much fun to be working along side her. She is a saint! I love you Nesscafe!

Shoutout to Travis for being the best paparazzi I got!
